BRAND NEW HIT SINGLE FROM LINEO...TITLED FEEL IT FEATURING 2FACE...............WITH PROFILE AND PICTURES

LINEO (Legend Indeed Now Extra Ordinary)
ELEPEPE MASTER PROFILE

Background

Born in the late 80’s,Prince Adekoya Adegboyega Yusuf a.k.a Lineo was born in Lagos into a royal family. Though, he originated from Ogun State, where his father was a king. According to the traditional beliefs, a prince doesn’t sing nor dance for people. But the music talents in this young dude started hunting him. He is not happy if he doesn’t sing. Music for him becomes inevitable. Whenever he sleeps, he suddenly dreams singing to a large crowd often, Lineo said. Today his dreams have come true.
Aside music, his journey into showbiz started years back via modeling. Lineo did a beautiful advertising poster job for a giant telecommunications company in Nigeria. He has also done other jobs as far as modeling is concerned.
The University of Abuja undergraduate started his musical career in Mayflower Secondary School, Ogun State few years back. He usually raps and dance, in school. Whenever there was any activity in school, his principal always invites him to entertain the guests. That is how he developed passion to write interesting songs. In case you don’t know he has as well produced beats in the past to for many artistes. He recently produced the track that featured 2-Face, Feel It. In 2004, he dropped a single that painted the whole town red. It was titled “I Dey Ring”. It was widely used as mobile ring tones. He dropped another single late 2007, “Let’s Get It Started”. It is making waves on radio stations at the moment. The video which was dropped on television stations also added flavor to the promotion. Lineo, currently is working on his debut album. You will have access to listen to the song on radio stations, clubs and corporate event places.

Talent Discovery
People discover their talents in many ways. For Lineo, he discovered his talent while watching Michael Jackson on television. “I discovered myself when I listen to Michael Jackson on radio and watch on Tv. Though, my brothers and sisters’ prophesied that I would be in showbiz but I didn’t know in which direction I would come in. I didn’t know I would be a musician. In fact, what really inspired me to quickly reach this stage in my musical career is for the fact that I got encouragement from my family. My father had 12 wives and 40 children. There were competitions in the family. This assisted me to rediscover my talents in a unique way.
“Apart from family competition, my sisters and brothers as well inspired me into music. I watch my brothers dancing while partying .I started having interest in music and social life generally. Music is part of me now.”

Inspiration for Music
While growing up, his family embraced him a lot being the last born of the 40 children. Therefore, as a young guy, Little Romeo attracted him and inspired him a lot. “Little Romeo is a young guy like me. He is doing well in music. So what stops me to excel? I just talked to myself that I can make it. I can do it better in my own style being a Nigerian. However, the confidence started increasing every day. Any way, I give God the glory for the encouragement he gave me to say you can do it.
Role Model
2-Face is my role model any day any time and people sometimes say we look alike. He has inspired up coming Nigerian artistes around and in Diaspora. He has lifted the Nigerian flag at the international level. His style of music also fascinates me a lot; that’s why I’ve done a collabo with him titled Feel it. It was recorded in July 2008. Sound Sultan is also a guy I admire so much, funny enough people still say we have same resemblance; but we only met recently when I had my recording with 2face. I like his musical lyrics. But my own style is unique in a fundamental way.
Performances
Lineo started performing at schools and birthday ceremonies, then later at major night clubs in Lagos, He was the cynosure of all eyes at Kennis Music Ojude Oba annual Festival 2006 with Konga supported by Indomie Noodles. Elepepe master as he is popularly called by fans and admires has performed alongside Faze, Olu Maintain, Weird M C, Rugged man, X-Project, D J Jimmy Jatt at Bafana Bafana Concert 2007. He was among the artistes that added flavor to Ekiti Rocks in 2007 along side Olu Maintain, Artquake, Weird M C, X-Project, Azezat and others. He also featured in Find Your Rhythm, Celtel Campaign that took place in Abeokuta and Akure June 2008. MTN Abuja Police Marathon was not complete without Lineo. His performance at the event was spectacular.Lineo won the Most Promising Artiste of the year 2008 at the ICON AWARDS held in Porthacourt.

Exclusive: Fake Drake Album Sold On iTunes, Lawsuit Planned Against Label

Drake is such a hot artist that one of his albums is selling even though he didn't release it.An unauthorized album, "The Girls Love Drake," which features selections from the Toronto rapper's mixtape "So Far Gone" and other tracks, was released May 28th by a label called Canadian Money Entertainment and distributed by the Independent Online Distribution Alliance (IODA) on iTunes, Rhapsody and Amazon. Drake's camp, which is still trying to clear the samples on "So Far Gone" and his two other mixtapes in hopes of selling them in stores, says it didn't authorize the release. If it hadn't been disqualified on the grounds that it wasn't confirmed as being an official album, "The Girls Love Drake" would have debuted this week at No. 101 on the Billboard 200, No. 16 on the Digital Albums chart and No. 1 on the Heatseekers tally. "Best I Ever Had" and "Every Girl" (credited to Young Money), two tracks on the mixtape that have previously charted, appear on this week's Hot Digital Songs chart thanks to downloads of "The Girls Love Drake." Additionally, "Best I Ever Had" jumps 60-18 on the Billboard 200, while "Every Girl" leaps 75-35, although chart experts predict they will both drop again once the unofficial album is no longer available. After finding the album on iTunes, Drake's management sent a cease-and-desist notice to the retailer, which has since removed it. At press time, the album was still available on Rhapsody and Amazon, although Drake's manager Al Branch says he's having it removed from these retailers as well."This is a straight bootleg, a scandal. We are behind promoting records at radio, but haven't sold it," Al Branch, Drake's manager, tells Billboard.com. "iTunes' position is that they are a store and they stock everything. They have a waiver and as long as people sign it and are responsible for the product they submit, then they go for it." Branch also says that Drake plans to file a lawsuit against Canadian Money Entertainment, which he says isn't in connection with Drake or Young Money, the Lil Wayne-owned label that Drake is affiliated with. Drake is currently the subject of a major label bidding war and is close to signing with Universal Motown.Peter Greenwood, the founder of Canadian Money Entertainment, says the company has been releasing mixtapes for unsigned artists since 2003 and their purposes in releasing "The Girls Love Drake" was never ill-intended. "'The Girls Love Drake' was just a combination of new and old songs that we had been promoting on the underground scene for the last six months and so we wanted to get more exposure for it on the net," he says. "Breaking him in the states along with other Toronto artists has always been our goal. Drake is our hometown hero."Branch is concerned that Young Money or October's Own, Drake's label, could be sued since the samples on the mixtapes, which include beats on albums by David Banner, Goapele and Colun Munroe, haven't been cleared. But Greenwood says that he was unaware of the legalities of selling a mixtape on iTunes. "There were tracks produced for other artists thatDrake rapped over that were not cleared. While some songs were original, this was meant to be an underground project and not a major release," he says. "We tried to get the project out through a new platform on the digital level, but we were stopped before we could get started because mixtapes are not allowed on that level." Moving forward, Greenwood says he will continue to promote his mixtapes the traditional, offline route, and if a lawsuit does indeed come his way he plans to deal with it head on.

Jay-Z Scores 11th No. 1 Album, "BP3" Sells 476K In First Week

Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3 has become the number one album in the country today (September 16) selling over 476,000 copies in its first week on store shelves.

In addition to Hov, Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon also landed on the charts with the release of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Part 2.

Jay-Z has made an impressive land and Roc Nation debut as The Blueprint 3 has officially sold 476,100 copies in its first seven days on stores shelves making it the No. 1 album in the nation. Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Part 2 secured the No. 4 slot with 67,900 sold copies. (Sales Wrap)

Early estimates showed both rap veterans debuting high on the charts.

Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3, the first release from his Roc Nation imprint through Atlantic Records, will debut at No. 1 with a total between 300 to 350k. The Beatles' stereo and mono box sets are selling out at Amazon and other online retailers. Next up on the debut list is IceH20's Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon with the sequel to his celebrated Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, distributed by EMI and should be good for 55-60k. (Hits Daily Double)

Hov also had to struggle through an early leak of his Blueprint 3 album nearly two weeks prior to its official release.

"I may be the most bootlegged artist in history," he said in an interview after learning the news. "It's a preview. I'm excited for people to hear the album. I'm very proud of the work I've down, so enjoy it...My pager is actually ringing right now, so people are probably calling me and telling me they pretty much like it. I can tell by the way my pager rings if a song is good or not. It's really going crazy right now." (MTV)

Featured on the October 2009 XXL Magazine, Hov challenged other emcees to compare their "stats" to his.

"But when I say I'm the best, I don't say that outta my a**," Jay said in the interview. "I say that with all my stats behind me. I put that against anybody. I mean anybody. I really believe that...I believe in a lot of things. I believe that "SportsCenter" is the best thing on TV. I shouldn't have to prove it. But I do have these stats to prove it. I'm talking about real run. I'm not talking about years off. I'm talking about straight--boom, boom, boom--back to back. We're not talking about heritage acts either. We're not talking about respect what I've done. I'm talking No. 1 [albums] 10 times. The Beatles is the only one [to have more No. 1 albums]. They got 19, and if I get a surge of creativity, I could make nine albums next year." (XXL Magazine)

Jay-Z’s 9/11 Benefit Turns Into All-Star Marathon With Beyonce, Kanye, Rihanna, Mayer and More

NEW YORK - Since the collapse of the World Trade Center on 9/11, many people have helped rebuild New York City in different ways. Rapper Jay-Z did it his own way: headlining a star-studded concert at Madison Square Garden.

The 39-year-old Brooklyn native performed to a sold-out crowd Friday night for his "Answer the Call" concert, which paid tribute to the police officers and firefighters who died responding to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The Pledge of Allegiance kicked off the show, followed by "The Star-Spangled Banner" infused with an electric guitar. Jay-Z continued with his own New York anthems — including "Empire State of Mind"; "Where I'm From," a song about his upbringing in the Marcy housing projects complex; and "Brooklyn Go Hard," a collaboration with alternative singer Santigold.

The rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter, went on to perform over 30 songs from his 11 albums during the two-hour set. The concert aired on Fuse TV, and all proceeds will be donated to the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund.

A myriad of special guests came out to help celebrate. John Mayer rocked out on the electric guitar on "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" and Mary J. Blige added her signature gritty soul-sound on "Can't Knock the Hustle."

Jay-Z's wife, Beyonce, dominated the stage with a swagger-jammed dance routine to her hit song "Diva."

Rihanna, in her first performance since her February altercation with Chris Brown, showed she's ready to return to the stage when she sang on "Run This Town." Kanye West also performed on the song.

"We stand here tonight eight years later even stronger, even stronger," Jay-Z yelled before the performance. "This is our own. We run this town New York City!"

The performers set a serious tone Friday night — wearing mainly black and gray onstage.

The crowd, who chanted "Hova," Jay-Z's nickname, between each song, never sat since the first song began.

On the eight-year anniversary of 9/11, the rapper — who has had major success on the charts and has garnered as much respect on the streets — hoped to add light to the tragic day.

"We should always move past it and be strong but never forget," he said in a recent interview.

Jay-Z held a moment of silence three-quarters into the show, but the most emotional moment of the night came later when a montage of the faces of the men and women who died on 9/11 was shown. The head shots of the fallen appeared on a backdrop of buildings while Jay-Z's "Young Forever" played in the background.

"Make some noise for everybody that lost their lives so we can live ours," he said.

Beanie Sigel Broad Street Bully is out now

A lot has changed in the time since Beanie Sigel’s 2007 release The Solution. The Philly rapper served three months in jail for parole violation, his longtime label Roc-A-Fella Records is in disarray following the public split between Jay-Z and Dame Dash, and his State Property crew is scattered throughout the industry. Through it all, Sigel kept a low profile until announcing the release of The Broad Street Bully, which was originally rumored to be called The Focus.

Released through Siccness.net, the project is labeled a studio album but has a distinct mixtape feel. In fact, most of the songs are leftover tracks from previously recorded material (think Ghostface’s More Fish). That probably explains the incomplete-sounding production of “Tear Drops” and the hookless “Where’s My Opponent.” The end result is a mixed bag of street anthems (“Bang Bang”) and gloomy narratives (“The Ghetto”).

While the inclusion of SP members Freeway (“Sicker Than Average”), Young Chris (“Ready For War”) and Omillio Sparks (“Run to the Roc”) is a welcome return to form after The Solution’s pop tart guest list—Diddy (“Shake it For Me”) and R. Kelly (“All the Above”)—Bully feels more like a compilation than a true solo effort. That’s not to say Beans doesn’t deliver bars by the bundle, it’s just this LP would have been better served being less broad and more focused.
